By a pro-active and complimentary blend of the theoretical and practical methodology, the College of Marine Technology trains students in the adept repairing and maintenance of ships and other equipments. A band of diligent and skilful personal comprising of qualified Marine Engineers and Instructors duly fulfill their duties of imparting the educational curriculum to the students.

INTAKES

The admission starts from the month of March and closing by October. The strength of each class is arranged in a good manner. So that each student gets good attention from the teachers.

LAB FACILITY

College of Marine Technology has wide and well equipped workshop facility for the students. College of Marine Technology’s practical training centre is situated at the heart of Kochi town which is easily accessible through road, rail & water. The college provide separate labs for the convenience of students.

PRACTICAL CLASSES

Students who are admitted for the course have theory and practical class. Each student get special attention from the instructor other than being trainee students is moulded to be a worker. Students strictly wear prescribed uniform in the theory classes and uniform with shoes, helmet for practical classes. The batches for practical are divided into morning & afternoon sections. After the classes adequate assignments & exams are given to evaluate the students.

CLASS ROOMS

The college comprises of well-furnished and air conditioned class rooms with all the amenities to meet the demand of the discerning students and state of the art workshops to its credit. College provides lab with all types of machineries including different types of inline and “V” type engines where a team of qualified and diligent faculty makes the circuit more active and vibrant. Each student get special attention from the instructor other than being trainee, students is mould to be a worker. After the classes adequate assignments & exams are given to evaluate the students.

STUDY HOURS

Strict and specific study hours are made to practice to facilitate students to cover the daily subjects and to complete the assignments besides normal training time.

EXAMINATIONS & EVALUATION

Theory examinations will be conducted every month. Those who have successfully completed the course & have 80% attendance in the class will be eligible for final examinations.

HOSTEL

CMT provides convenient hostel for outstation students in the heart of the city near the college campus. The hostel is well maintained and is kept neat and clean and hostel warden appointed.

PLACEMENT CELL

College of Marine Technology placement cell assured to provide as trainees / internship in shipyards, dockyards and other ship related establishments with attractive stipend to all students who successfully complete the course program having 60% marks aggregate in the final examination.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

  1. The candidate who meet admission requirements can apply for the course
  2. The candidate should fill up the prescribed application from and submit along with the following documents.
    * 3 self attested Photostat copies of the first page and mark list of SSLC book, Plus two certificates & Technical certificates, if any
    * Recent passport size photographs – 5 nos
    *Original SSLC Book
  3. Application should reach us on or before the date mentioned by post, courier or in person
  4. Selected candidate will have to be present on the date mentioned in the selection notice or by telephonic
    message
  5. Selected candidate should enroll by paying the initial fees mentioned to the trades.
  6. Original certificates must be brought in hand by the candidate and must not send by post or courier

FINAL EXAMINATION

  • CTDS final examination will be conducted on completion of the entire course. Examination consist of theory, practical
    and viva.
  • Bureau Veritas (BVIL) (International Certification) will be witnessing the examination conducted by CMT consist of
    theory, practical and viva. Passed students will be awarded with certificates & mark list for both CTDS & BVIL.
    Course Certificate will be issued by College of Marine Technology on successful completion of the course.
  • Welding course students are not eligible for BVIL examination or certificates.
